| The 159th Strike-Wing (SW) was born when the Lock-On Flaming-Cliffs add-on was brought out, and we use the main aircraft from LOFC; the Sukhoi Su-25T - and as of 2011, the basic Su-25A. |

| The Su-25T is a multi-role Strike aircraft that has a very real flight-model which is a joy to master. Once you have the ability to fly the T-Frog (one of many nick-names) you will surely enjoy the training and effort put towards operating this aircraft. SW's is multi-role and we perform all the following duties regularly; DEAD (destruction of enemy air defences),SEAD (suppression of enemy air defences), CAS (Close Air Support), Air Interdiction (ground attack beyond forward troops, usually in enemy rear areas), Ground-Attack, Ship-Strike and Strikes on any kind of target you could think of, actually! |

| The original Su-25A- is a very simple and basic aircraft, which is very rewarding to fly and fight with. This aircraft is mainly tasked with the simpler air to ground and CAS roles, leaving the 25T to do the trickier SEAD/DEAD pinpoint-strike tasks. |

| SW strives to perform all the above roles to the best of its ability with the time available to train during squad flights. We have SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) which evolve over time and as we learn new techniques. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| SW has had a good presence in the RedFlag (LOCERF) multi-player multi-squad missions that are held every few months. |  |
We train and plan hard for these RFs, and it makes all our efforts worth-while when we end up on the winning side ... although participation really is the main thing, as RF is as good as it gets for flight-sims anywhere! we think! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
